The Geneva Internet Platform (operated by Diplo) and the Permanent Mission of Switzerland to the United Nations Office and to other international organisations in Geneva hosted a briefing for Geneva-based Heads of Missions on AI and digital governance issues. 

The briefing welcomed heads of missions appointed to Geneva in 2025 and included: 

• A mapping of the global digital governance ecosystem, and a zoomed-in view of key processes and debates at a global level and in Geneva.
• A discussion on the use of AI tools in diplomacy.
• An overview of the links between World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) processes, the Global Digital Compact (GDC), and their relevance for Geneva.
