On 12 and 13 February 2026, Diplo is contributing to an online course on AI as a factor in diplomacy and geopolitics, organised by the European Institute of Public Administration.
The course, dedicated to staff at the EU External Action Service, EU Delegations, and diplomats of EU member states, is aimed at exploring the interplay between AI, international relations, and siplomacy. It provides an overview of how AI works, recent trends in AI, and the technological infrastructure behind it. The course also looks at the geopolitical implications of AI, governance and regulatory approaches (within and beyond the EU), and the impact of AI on the workd of diplomats.
Diplo’s Executive Director Jovan Kubalija and Director of Knowledge Sorina Teleanu will contribute to two sessions: one on geopolitcs of AI, and one on AI in diplomacy.
