The 2026 edition of the AI for Good Global Summit will be held on 7–10 July 2026, in Geneva, Switzerland. The summit is organised by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in partnership with over 50 UN sister agencies and co-convened with the Government of Switzerland. Discussions will revolve around a wide range of issues such as AI governance, AI skills and capacities, AI and human rights, AI and sustainable development, technical standards, and robotics.
Diplo and the Geneva Internet Platform (GIP) will take an active part in the summit in various ways, participating in several events and having a booth at the Canton of Geneva space within the venue.

AI in education, research and skills development roundtable

The roundtable brought together high-level representatives of leading universities, industry actors, and international stakeholders to explore how AI is transforming higher education. Discussions focused on issues such as the impact of AI on how knowledge is produced, validated, and governed; the role of AI in enhancing learning and research practices; and how AI was redefining skills development for students and the workforce. Ms Tereza Horejsova, Diplo’s Director of Partnerships, moderated one roundtable during the session.
AI Skills Coalition partner annual meeting

This meeting brought together the AI Skills Coalition community – representatives of international organisations, industry, academia, and the public sector – to connect, share priorities, and explore opportunities to scale impact through coordinated action. Emphasis was placed on identifying synergies across ongoing programmes, advancing new partnership models, and shaping future workstreams under the coalition. As a member of the coalition, Diplo participated in this meeting.
