EuroDIG 2021 will take place as a fully online meeting from 28 – 30 June 2021.

The 14th edition will be hosted by the International Centre of Theoretical Physics, the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA), the University of Trieste and the Minister for Technological Innovation and Digital Transition.

The overarching theme in 2021 is ‘Into Europe‘s Digital Decade’ and honours the many processes on the continent (EU and beyond) that contribute to new digital regulations, standards and norms for the upcoming years. EuroDIG aims to be a multi-stakeholder meeting ground where policy makers, the technical community, the private sector and civil society can discuss and exchange views about the Internet and how it is governed in an open, bottom-up manner. The three-day event will tackle issues such as access and literacy, development of the Internet governance ecosystem, human rights, innovation, and economic issues, media and content, security and crime, technical and operational issues.

The meeting will be preceded by the Youth Dialogue on Internet Governance (YouthDIG), an initiative dedicated to preparing young people for their participation in EuroDIG, which will take place online from April to June and onsite prior to the EuroDIG meeting.

Additionally, throughout 2021 EuroDIG is organising a number of ad-hoc virtual meetings called ‘EuroDIG Extra‘.
