The Swiss Internet Governance Forum (IGF) 2024 is set to take place on 5 June 2024, at Welle7, located at Schanzenstrasse 5, 3008 Bern, Switzerland.
Originating as a national counterpart to the UN’s global initiative on Internet Governance Forum, the Swiss IGF serves as a platform for collective agreement on internet regulations among all stakeholders. It is characterised by its open and complimentary access, welcoming all individuals interested in internet governance without any participation restrictions.
Utilising a participatory and inclusive approach, the forum encourages a bottom-up process for selecting discussion topics, ensuring that no subject is off-limits and all stakeholders are treated as equal partners in the dialogue.
As per the draft program released on 21 March 2024, the primary discussion topics are set to include the regulation of AI and cybersecurity, the Global Digital Compact, and various other digital governance issues.
