Diplo delivered specialised, exercise-based training, ‘Implementing AI in Daily Work’, to the staff of the EU Permanent Mission to the United Nations Office and other international organisations, and the EU Permanent Mission to the World Trade Organisation in Geneva.

AI technology holds immense potential to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency across various sectors, including diplomacy. However, effectively integrating these tools into daily operations remains challenging for many organisations. This tailored training equipped the EU diplomats with the knowledge and skills to harness AI’s capabilities for managing repetitive tasks, enabling them to dedicate more time to core diplomatic functions such as engagement and negotiation.

The participants learned about AI’s role in modern diplomatic practice, explored practical insights and foundational knowledge of the technology’s principles, and gained a comprehensive understanding of AI’s relevance to their work to better prepare to engage in discussions and decisions related to its use in diplomacy.
