The annual 60th Munich Security Conference (MSC 2024) is scheduled to take place from 16 to 18 February 2024 in Munich, Germany. The conference is organised as an in-person event.
Distinguished participants include heads of state, ministers, noteworthy figures from international and non-governmental organizations, along with high-ranking representatives from industry, media, academia, and civil society. Over the course of three days, the conference will facilitate a robust dialogue addressing both present and future security challenges.
The MSC serves as a forum covering a broad spectrum of security-related topics, encompassing transatlantic and European issues, as well as global security challenges, including the future of global governance and multilateralism, democratic resilience, climate security, nuclear security, migration, and the future of AI. . To reflect the complex international security landscape, all activities of the MSC. are guided by five program areas: Defense, Global Order, Human Security, Sustainability, and Technology. Topics from the Technology Program are regularly covered in the annual Munich Security Report (MSR). Additionally, the MSC regularly publishes Munich Security Briefs and MSR Special Editions on related issues, most recently the Munich Security Brief ‘Error 404 – Trust Not Found: A European Survey on Digital (Dis)trust‘.
The MSC will, as usual, provide a variety of official side events hosted by top organisations.
