The the Stockholm Internet Forum (SIF) will take place online between 10 and 12 May 2021.

SIF is a platform for advancing a free, open, and secure internet as a driver of global development. It is also for exchanging knowledge and ideas, while forging new partnerships within civil society, private sector, academia, donors, and government. As such, the seventh edition’s theme is Mobilising for Digital Resilience – a free, open, and secure internet in the shifting landscapes of the pandemic. This theme will highlight the current challenges the world is facing through four different thematic approaches:

  • meaningful access,
  • rights, resistance, and solidarity,
  • Internet governance, regulation, and accountability, and
  • resilience, environment, and the economy.

Each thematic approach will explore how we are coping and facing these challenges, as well as tools and means to address them. SIF is hosted by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).

More information about the Forum can be found on their official webpage.
