This is a page with background information for the workshop delivered by Dr Jovan Kurbalija for the UN Development Coordination Office (2 July 2026). At the beginning of the session, he created an AI assistant for the UN AI Scientific Report in a few minutes, as an illustration of two key aspects of current AI: the sprint (technically easy to create) and the marathon (continuous enrichment of AI through the activation of our knowledge and experience).
After a fast start, the AI assistant will be continuously updated, showing, in practice, the difference between, on one hand, often sloppy and generic AI, and on the other, accurate, grounded, and contextualised AI. In addition to the AI assistant, you can consult two presentations delivered during the workshop.
