The European Commission, in collaboration with the European Factories of the Future Research Association (EFFRA), the European Robotics Association (euRobotics), and the Big Data Value Association (BDVA), is co-hosting a workshop on artificial intelligence (AI) in manufacturing.

The workshop will take place on 2 July in Brussels, and it will focus on the importance and implications of integrating AI technologies and AI-based solutions into the manufacturing domain while addressing the challenges and barriers in meeting the specific needs of the sector.

The workshop aims to prepare participants for potential contributions to the Work Programme 2020 topic ‘ICT-38-2020: Artificial intelligence for manufacturing’. For more information, visit the dedicated web page.

  • Needs and barriers for AI in manufacturing environments;

  • The state of the art and how current solutions address the current needs;

  • Future research and innovation needs in this domain;

  • Visions of European public-private partnerships to boost European industrial competitiveness through the adoption and development of trustworthy AI for manufacturing.
