The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and Google analysed innovative ways to deliver efficient, effective, and fair public services in their new report ‘Artificial Intelligence in the Delivery of Public Services’. Noting that artificial intelligence (AI) is not sufficiently utilised in the public sector, the report aims to ‘fill the gap and presents case studies on how governments and the public sector have applied AI to deliver public services.’ The report also stresses the need to include the private sector and technical in applying AI in public services.
